Athenaeum Pro 2017 sports a revised, cleaner look as well as some behavioural changes to screen drawing.
Many of the changes are technical in nature aiming for network speed improvements and to take advantage of FileMaker 15 and 16’s improved database caching techniques and some are aimed to reduce the number of objects visible on screen until you need them.
The functionality will remain familiar - as is always our goal - to existing users of Athenaeum.
“Tab” objects are drawn differently and Athenaeum will make efforts to better remember the last tab you were using on detail screens when returning to those screens.
The eight customisable buttons can be reduced to only show the main options you want to see.
This is great for occasional users of Athenaeum who only occasionally need to use certain functions (e.g. department staff issuing department resources).
Athenaeum Pro 2017 makes extensive use of vertical menus, replacing the previous horizontal options.
While these should be familiar to most users, they also allow more options to be only a single click away.
